Power Automate Flows
All business process' that include an integration with SharePoint, Forms, OneDrive, Exchange, Excel, Power Automate or Power BI should be reviewed by the owners post the UPN change. Its important to test all Business process' to ensure the least disruption to your workstreams.
Unfortunately no process is the same, if your flow includes OneDrive integration or attachments please prepare to test in advance and schedule a review with IT in good time.
The most common errors for Power Automate or Power Bi are :
1. Reauthentication errors
If a Reminder Flow connected to your account has been set on a SharePoint list via Power Automate you will receive a 'Something Failed' email from Microsoft Flow notifying you of the error.
You will need to reauthenticate your account via the SharePoint List associated with the reminder.
Go to the SharePoint list. On the ribbon menu under 'Integrate ' select 'Power Automate' followed by 'See your flows'.
You will be redirected to your connections page which shows any personalised flows associated with your account.
Click on 'Fix Connection' to reauthenticate your account.
Sign in with your BII account to reauthenticate.
2. Power Automate Errors with the 'Get User Profile' action.
For any workflows created that include the 'Get User Profile' action, this will need to be reconfigured and rerun.
The action refers to the user's UPN (username) and relies on the current 'as is' environment. Once we make the UPN switch this action will result in failed flows which only the IT admin or Service Account holder can update.
From the end user perspective, you might not receive the expected update/alert to SharePoint or your mailbox.
If you need further assistance, please create a test script to identify what areas of the process doesn't work and log a ticket with the Helpdesk.
